Two pieces of equipment that were purchased with aid from grants are working well with the Greene County Medical Center.

CEO Chad Butterfield says in 2023 Grow Greene County Gaming Corporation (GGCGC) awarded the Greene County Medical Center Foundation $81,500 for a C-Arm. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio that this radiology equipment can be rotated around an area of the body for both clinical and surgical treatments. Butterfield talks about the feedback he has heard from the employees that use the C-Arm.

“The team members, they love using it. The images that they receive from it are vivid and they’re wonderful. The department directors are excited about it. Heath Booth in Radiology does a wonderful job. She’s done great in that (and) Jennifer Miller was in that role for a number of years. So we’ve really had some good team members through there.”

Butterfield says the other grant from GGCGC was earlier this year for $42,000 for a radio frequency ablation machine for the pain clinic. Butterfield points out this equipment puts lesions on the area of the body that has pain and the lesion blocks the pain from that area.

“From what I’ve heard, from the conversations that I’ve had with folks that have had procedures on it, it’s been life-changing, the success from that.”

Butterfield thanks GGCGC for their continued support of improvements and upgrades at the medical center.
