
The Bluejays and Jayettes performed well on the Academic All-Conference Team. Perry had six from the baseball team and seven made it from softball. In total, 13 athletes who competed in summer sports achieved Academic All-Conference in the Heart of Iowa. Players earning the honor needed to be juniors or seniors with at least a 3.25 grade point average on a 4.00 scale. From the softball team, Kassidy Atwell, Sydney Barkley, Maddy Hollingsworth, Callie Steva, Maci Tunink, Christina Kanealy, and Taryn Nehring all supassed a 3.25. Now from the baseball team, Kain Killmer, Egan Leber, Drake Levan, Gabriel Beato-Amparo, Geren Kenney, and Owen Myers achieved the feat.
Both teams would finish below .500 last year. The Bluejays went 11-18 while the Jayettes went 10-19.
