Greene County Activities Director Dave Wright was asked by Raccoon Valley Radio what head coaches he expects to return for the 2024-25 activities year. He expects all the Fall and Winter sports head coaches to be back. That’s Caden Duncan in football, Chris Heisterkamp in volleyball, and Jeff Lamoureux for both girls and boys cross-country.  Chris Nelson and Tori Ogden return in basketball, Nelson for boys and Ogden for girls, and Kirk Davis returns as head wrestling coach, although he’ll teach at Coon Rapids-Bayard instead of at Greene County. John Woodford is set to return as girls and boys bowling coach.

Wright told Raccoon Valley Radio Maribel Hernandez won’t be coaching at Greene County after heading the girls’ soccer program in recent seasons. She is a teacher in the Perry School District. He expects Chad Morton back as head boys’ track & field coach, Derek Merk as girls’ head coach in track & field, Kyle Kinne for boys’ golf, Heath Telleen for girls’ golf, and Carl Behne in boys’ soccer. The baseball and soccer seasons just ended, but as far as he knows, Tom Kennedy will return as softball head coach and Kyle Stalder as head baseball coach.

Wright is one of the guests tonight on PM Sports Magazine KG98 Edition at 6 o’clock.
