
A Sunday evening thunderstorm came through Greene County.
Raccoon Valley Radio’s Severe Weather Action Team had the live coverage on KGRA 98.9FM of the severe thunderstorm warning that was issued by the National Weather Service for northeastern Greene County at 7:40pm. Greene County Sheriff Jack Williams reported a small tree snapped off, another tree was lying on some power lines and several smaller tree branches were down in the city of Paton. Williams also mentioned that there were 40-45 miles per hour winds and heavy rainfall.
As of 8:25pm, Midland Power Cooperative is reporting four customers without power in the northeastern corner of the county.
Two Raccoon Valley Radio staff, Weatherology Meteorologist, and Sheriff Williams covered the severe thunderstorm warning until it expired at 8:15pm.
