The month of August is here, with Iowans receiving help financially this weekend.

Today and tomorrow is the annual Sales Tax Holiday in Iowa, happening now through tomorrow at midnight. According to the Iowa Department of Revenue, they will not collect sales tax or local option sales tax on articles of clothing or footwear that have a selling price less than $100.

The department defines the word “clothing” as any article of wearing apparel and typical footwear intended to be worn on or about the human body. To see a full list of unacceptable clothing or for more information, click here.
