Perry cross country is getting set to take off. The Bluejays and Jayettes are just a couple weeks away from their first competition. Perry will begin practice on August 12 with the rest of the fall sports. Perry is guaranteed 11 race days. The first will be in Gowrie on Thursday, August 29. They will be at the Southeast Invite. Perry will then race the following Thursday, September 5 at the Madrid Invite. Perry is scheduled to host one event. The Leon Fox Invite is on on Thursday, October 3. Roland-Story will host the Heart of Iowa Conference meet Monday, October 14. The Jayettes will return Lily Myers, who won the conference title last year. State qualifying will take place on Wednesday, October 23. The full schedule is below:
