The Dallas County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Tuesday.

A construction update was given from Turner Construction that the new administration building is staying on track for an opening in late September or October, despite occasional weather delays. A pay application for Turner Construction in the amount of $1,567,932.91 was approved as well as a furniture package change order of $591,723.36 between Farnsworth Group Incorporated and Workspace Incorporated.

Other items on the agenda that were approved at Tuesday’s meeting included a Traffic Safety Improvement Program funding joint with Pitzer Road (P53) in Madison County and Dallas County for close to $400,000. Also, an aging resources nutritional program memorandum of understanding that will serve from September 2024 to June 2025, the 2025 county holidays, and 2024 abate mobile taxes as presented. 

Tax credit applications to disallow homestead tax credits, allowance of homestead tax credits, allowance of disabled veteran homestead tax credits, and allowance of military exemption.
