A couple that were former Scranton residents were recently arrested following a lengthy investigation.
According to court documents, on October 30, 2022 the Greene County Sheriff’s Office began an investigation of 60-year-old Steven Randall for allegedly distributing methamphetamine. After receiving credible intelligence that accused Randall of being one of the main suppliers of the drug into the Greene County community, he had a criminal history of distribution as well.
Court documents show that a search warrant was executed on March 6, 2023 in Randall’s home in Scranton and his significant other was also there. Drug-related items were recovered and sent to the Criminalistics Laboratory, where the results were positive for cannabis and methamphetamine.

An arrest warrant was issued on August 2nd and both Randall, as well as 33-year-old Alexandra Thomas, both of Boone, were arrested and booked into the Greene County Jail. Randall was charged with a Class C Felony for intent to manufacture or deliver methamphetamine, a Class D Felony for his third or subsequent offense for possession of a controlled substance violation, and a simple misdemeanor for possession of drug paraphernalia. Thomas was charged with two serious misdemeanors for her first offenses of possession of marijuana and methamphetamine, and a simple misdemeanor for possession of drug paraphernalia.
