Perry’s upcoming farmer’s market revolves around school.

The first day of school for the Perry community is coming up on August 23rd which coincides with the theme at Thursday’s Farmer’s Market. Perry Chamber Director Lynsi Pasutti tells Raccoon Valley Radio that it’s one of the community’s favorites. She discusses some of the groups that will be apart of Thursday’s farmer’s market.

“We’re really excited to have DMACC (Des Moines Area Community College) there, they’re going to be promoting different things with the new school year, the (Perry) Booster Club will have their merchandise out, so you can get your Bluejay gear. We have New Opportunities doing a supply drive.”

Pasutti outlines that the back to school night lines up with the special events the Perry Chamber holds on the third Thursday of each month at the farmer’s market. The farmer’s market happens on Thursday’s along 2nd Street from 4-7pm.
