The AC/GC Chargers football team will start the 2024 preseason next week.

As the team prepares to face off against the Des Moines Christian Lions in a scrimmage on August 23rd. With the season quickly approaching, here’s a reminder of the 10-1 season the Chargers put together last year. In passing statistics, the Chargers completed 9/29 passes for 270 yards and three touchdowns.

In rushing, the team carried the ball 535 times for 3,961 yards, averaging 7.4 yards per carry and picking up 48 touchdowns. Defensively, the Chargers recorded 496 tackles, with 259 being solo take downs, with 20 sacks and 83 tackles for a loss of yards. They also tallied 12 fumble recoveries and 13 interceptions that were returned for 237 yards.

On kick returns, the Chargers brought back 33 kicks for 510 yards, averaging 15.5 yards per return and one touchdown. The team kicked the ball 55 times for 2,258 yards, and completed 44 of 47 PAT attempts.
