When the Greene County High School football team opens the 2024 season on Friday, August 30 by hosting the Carroll High Tigers, there were be a different look at Linduska Field in Jefferson.

Activities Director Dave Wright talked with Raccoon Valley Radio about the changes, which include new lights for the football field. “The new lights are up and they’re a different looking light and the poles are metal and not wood like the old ones. We should see improved lighting at Linduska Field.” He added that the burn pile continues southeast of Allensworth Field, where the remnants of Ash trees are being disposed of. Nearly 20 trees between the football and baseball field were killed by Emerald Ash Borers and they’ve been cut down.
