The Greenfield Public Library is looking for stories from residents related to the historic tornado.
Danica Clayton says the library hopes to compile a book of stories on the devastating May 21st tornado that went through Greenfield. She adds that this helps create a local history of the community’s experience of the events that happened that day, and that stories can be turned in to the library in person, or by email at gpl@greenfield.lib.ia.us. For those that may not be confident in their writing skills, there are volunteers that can write or edit pieces with the information. Once the book is finished, copies will be available for those interested in having one for themselves. Questions can be directed to Clayton at 641-743-6120 or Myra Lisk at 641-745-5785.
