The Guthrie County Secondary Roads Department is looking to complete a project that they started last fall.
County Engineer Josh Sebern says that the department is planning to return to Stuart, where they began repair work to the ruts in White Pole Road before last winter. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio why they weren’t able to finish the project before.
“We ran out of season, the weather turned cold on us. So we weren’t able to go to the east, and that’s going to be our goal this time, is to do the same repair of the ruts and go east, and we’ll see what we can get done and how that goes. It seemed to work very well, it held up and I think it’s a good repair.”
The repairs that were previously done last year were on White Pole Road heading west from the intersection with Division Street to the edge of town using a hot mix asphalt, and filled ruts left from heavy vehicles that utilize the busy farm to market route.
