The Jefferson Municipal Pool has announced its reduced hours and closure as the new school year is starting soon.

Jefferson Parks and Recreation Assistant Director Nathan Kral says the pool will remain with its normal hours through Thursday, August 22nd. He notes that the hours change for the following Friday, August 23rd, as well as the week of the 26th, with adult lap swim only from 11:30am-1pm. Next weekend for August 24th and 25th, there will be normal weekend hours. Kral adds on August 31st, the only hours for the pool will be the annual Doggie Swim as a fundraiser for the People for Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) from 5:30-6:30pm, then the pool is officially closed for the year.

Additionally, the city of Grand Junction has announced the closure date for the Grand Junction Municipal Pool is August 22nd.
