The Panora City Council met in regular session Monday night.

The Council heard a request from a resident to consider forgiving part of their sewage bill that was over their average use, but the Council took no action. The Council approved an exception to the ordinance pertaining to golf carts on city streets, which would allow NAPA Auto Parts to test drive golf carts they repaired as long as they took the shortest and most direct path. They once again discussed portable storage containers and potentially adding a new chapter to City Code regarding portable storage containers.

The Council also approved the recommendation of Public Works Director Ismael Galvan to have Vander Haag’s Inc scrap the 1997 Ford Cargo L/T for $1,000, as they had been unable to sell it on GovDeal. They also approved the purchase of a Virnig pick up broom, gutter brush and low profile water tank for $10,428.05.
