The public is invited to celebrate the memory of a Greene County teen with a fundraiser.

The 2nd Annual Road Trip in Memory of Harley McDonald takes place tomorrow at the Scranton Community Center. Registrations for the ride are from 9-11am with a $20 fee. The route for the ride can be found below, but it starts and ends at the Scranton Community Center. Nina McDonald says at noon the beer garden opens, followed by the 515 Cornhole Tournament at 2pm. Dinner is then served at 6pm, along with a variety of raffles at 7pm and a live auction at 7:15pm. The event wraps up with live musical entertainment at 8pm with Dirt Road Divide.

McDonald adds this is a fundraiser for her son Harley who passed away from 90 percent third degree burns from a cabin fire in the winter of 2021. Proceeds will go back to continuing education and updated equipment in the Burn Treatment Center and the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, where Harley was treated at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
