Football season is officially here as Adel-DeSoto-Minburn gets the 2024-25 year started with a scrimmage tonight on the road.
The Tigers will be traveling to Johnston High School to face off against the Dragons in a non-conference scrimmage. The two teams battled last year in a scrimmage where Johnston defeated ADM, 27-14. The 2024 Tigers team will look a bit different as 23 players from last year’s team graduated. Along with the seniors, first year Head Coach Doug Winkowitsch is stepping in the helm to hopefully lead ADM back to the playoffs, and possibly a state title run.
Despite several injuries, the Tigers finished the 2023 season with an overall record of 7-4, losing to Lewis Central 32-21 in the Class 4A Quarterfinals. The scrimmage tonight at Johnston High School is scheduled for a 7:30pm kickoff. All of ADM’s regular season games, beginning next Friday, August 30th will be broadcast on K107.9 KKRF.
