The unemployment rate reached higher this last month in the Raccoon Valley Radio area.

According to Iowa Workforce, Greene County had a 0.8 percent increase in unemployment from June to July of 3.4 percent. Dallas County reported a jump of 0.6 percent from June to July in unemployment to 3.3 percent. Guthrie County saw a considerably less increase in unemployment from June to July to 2.8 percent.

Iowa Workforce reports the fourth consecutive month statewide of the same unemployment rate of 2.8 percent. The national unemployment rate for July was 4.3 percent.
