
Perry High School will have their first Fall activities next week. Volleyball, swimming, cross country, and football have all been practicing since August 12. They will all continue to practice at the start of next week for their first competitions. Football opens on Thursday, August 29 against Des Moines Hoover. Perry opens the week 1 schedule as the only game on Thursday night as the rest of the state begins action that next night. Cross country begins their season at the Southeast Valley Invite in Gowrie on Thursday, August 29. They match up with 15 other schools in that meet. Swimming also begins their year with a home meet against Algona on Thursday, August 29. The Jayettes will get awfully familiar with Algona as they face off 5 times. The kids return to school and competitions immediately start to ramp up for Perry athletics.
