Perry cross country raced at the Madrid Invitational on Thursday.  The Jayettes placed two in the top 8.  Lily Myers finished 5th 20:56.10 and Taryn Nehring was 8th 22:55.30.  Both girls dropped over 30 seconds from the first meet of the season at Gowrie.  Natalie Castillo finished in 25th 27:26.00 and Julie Maylum at 28th 27:59.40   On the boys side, Ivan Willet secured 16th place 19:45.90 while Thad Stewart came in 18th 19:59.30.  Aiden Carlson was 25th 21:09.60 and Ezra Farmer was 30th 21:31.80.

The Bluejays and Jayettes return to action Tuesday night at Winterset for a coed meet.
