The Guthrie County Iowa State University Extension and Outreach is in planning mode.

Youth Coordinator Rachel Blum says that now that the Guthrie County Fair is over, they are taking some time to get events for later this month planned out and scheduled. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio what they’re looking at so far.

“So far, we’re just kind of getting ready for our new year, and we’re going to be planning some activities that will be upcoming in September, October. We have our National 4-H Week, that is October 6th through the 12th, and so we will begin planning those activities.”

Blum mentions that other events are still being planned, but that those interested in what might be offered can keep track of announcements on the Extension’s Facebook page.
