
The Stuart City Council met in regular session Monday night.
The Council approved a request for a Tax Increment Financing agreement extension for SLK Holdings 002, a partial payment to McAninch Corporation for $28,504.32 for work on the Wambold Phase Three housing project and the final plat for the same project. They also approved the second change order and second pay application ($33,345.47) for the 2023 sanitary sewer system improvements project, a bid to remove and replace the front steps at City Hall and a bid for tree removal.
The Council then approved a proposal form Stuart Rescue Director Sean Bovinett to donate the 2006 Medtec ambulance to Dexter Fire and Rescue, a TIF application for Doely Holdings LLC, the annual financial report for the year ending June 30, 2024 and hiring a human resource consultant that has worked with the Utilities Board for several years. They tabled a decision on an ordinance to amend an ordinance for the zoning supplementary district regulations of City Code, approved TIF applications for 112 North Division Street and 119 West Front Street.
The Council also approved a residential single family zoning special exception, restrictive covenants for Wambold Phase Three housing project, an appeal to paint the exterior of 123 Northwest 2nd Street by Doely Holdings LLC, and heard from Mayor Dick Cook and other interested parties on garbage collection at the South Summit Apartments, and mowing contract services for some areas in town and in a few cemeteries.
