In one of the longest stretches of playing dates to start a season without being at home even once, the Greene County volleyball team meets Heart of Iowa Activities Conference newcomer Grand View Christian (Des Moines) tomorrow night. Construction on the new facility the Thunder will play in isn’t done, so the match has been moved to Faith Baptist Bible College in Ankeny.

Coach Chris Heisterkamp’s team has played in Dallas Center-Grimes, Kuemper Catholic (Carroll), and Perry so far. After the match vs. GVC in Ankeny, Greene County goes to Eldora this Saturday for the South Hardin Tournament before opening the home portion of the schedule in Jefferson at the high school gym on Sept. 17 vs. non-conference opponents Panorama and South Central Calhoun (Lake City).
