A school in Dallas County is in a fun competitive challenge with a chance to win money.

The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn School District is participating in the 2024 School Mascot Challenge. The event is coordinated by Iowa Healthiest State Initiative, a nonprofit organization whose goal is to ensure every Iowan to live their healthiest lives. The competition began with 32 teams and is now down to 16 as ADM is battling Indianola for a spot in the initiative’s “Elite 8.” 

According to the organization, the last school remaining will receive $1,000 to hopefully start or fund healthy incentive projects. To find more information about the initiative and to cast a vote, click on the appropriate link below.
