The Panora City Council met in regular session Monday night.
The Council heard from Alli Halsey and Tricia Small in the public forum segment regarding a sidewalk on East South Street, and approved the first reading and waived the second and third readings for final adoption of an ordinance regarding portable storage containers, and the second and final readings of an ordinance regarding repealing Chapter 144 Building Codes and replacing them with new Chapter 144 Building Codes referencing the 2021 edition of the International Codes. They also approved Police Chief Matt Reising’ request to dispose of Officer Porsch’s vest after his resignation, and split the budgeted pay for that position between Reising and the other full-time officer until a third full-time officer can be hired.
