
The West Central Valley Wildcat football team traveled to Jewell to take on the South Hamilton Hawks last night and would fall to the Hawks 30-7. The Hawks would score first with 50 seconds left in the first quarter, and convert the 2 point conversion bringing the score to 8-0. On the kickoff, the Wildcats would bobble and loose the football at the 40 yard line resulting in the Hawks regaining possession. South Hamilton would have a deep pass to move the ball downfield, and would run the ball in from the 6 yard line to bring the score to 16-0 early in the second quarter. The Wildcats would throw an interception in the second, and the Hawks would capitalize on their field possession to march the ball downfield to bring the score to 22-0 at halftime. With 8 minutes to go in the third quarter, the Wildcats would get an interception setting Trenton Naragon to run the ball in for a Wildcat touchdown bringing the score to 22-7 in the third. South Hamilton would get one final interception and allowing the offense to score the final touchdown of the game bringing the final score to 30-7.
West Central Valley falls to 2-2 and prepares for homecoming on Friday as they host the Grand View Christian Thunder.
