The Perry School District is gaining new decorative statues.
Former Perry Activities Director Tom Lipovac has been helping orchestrate “The Bluejay Way” project that helps identify core values of being a Perry Bluejay. Lipovac explains that the venture was developed by the Students Activities Department Advisory Council in 2014 along with the current Bluejay mascot logo. He acknowledges that the values revolve around acting with character, committing to excellence in academics and activities, outwork competitors striving to improve daily, being the best version of oneself, and dreaming big.
Sculptures were painted, then installed at Perry Elementary, Middle, and High School this past Tuesday. The sculptures are funded by the Perry School Foundation, The Homer Perkins Estate, The Akkerman-Snowgren Trust, The Blanche & Millard White Foundation, The Bock Family Foundation, and 100+ People for Perry.
