A notice is being issued from the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office following recent instances of credit card fraud in Redfield.

Dallas County Sheriff Adam Infante shares that during the month of September, 10 people reported they were victims of credit card fraud at the Casey’s General Store in Redfield. He notes that the victims allegedly found a card skimmer at the pump, but there was never one located by the sheriff’s office. Infante advises people to pay attention to their purchases.

“I would closely monitor your accounts, your credit cards, your credit scores and all of that stuff, just in case.”

Infante says the sheriff’s office is unsure about the process of how the credit card information was stolen from Casey’s in Redfield, but illustrates that Dallas County residents are welcome to contact them by phone (515)-993-4567 or email dcsheriff@dallascountyiowa.gov with any concerns or questions.
