The Adel Parks and Recreation Department is collaborating with an organization to help bring creativity to the area.

The Art Factory is joining Adel Parks and Rec to offer art camps and class series to Dallas County. Recreation Supervisor Ramona Dillinger tells Raccoon Valley Radio that Art Factory Instructor Amber O’Neil contacted the Adel Parks and Rec Department with interest to host art education classes in the community. Dillinger emphasizes that O’Neil possesses 23 years of teaching experience.

“And with her knowledge and expertise in the field, I’m sure it’s going to be a great program for the youth here in Adel.”

There will be a list of classes available, starting on October 26th, that will roll through the beginning of 2025. Dillinger notes that given the success of the program, more classes will be on display.

“We do have other dates and things lined up to go further into spring. We just have to wait to make sure that we can get the dates reserved at the community house, so there will be a lot of them that will go into the spring as well.”

The courses are geared towards children ages 6-12 and are limited to 20 individuals. Register here or contact the Adel Parks and Rec Department at (515)-993-4525.
