Halloween is happening soon, and the Dallas County Hospital will be holding a family-friendly event tomorrow.
The hospital is prepping for the 10th Annual Safe and Healthy Halloween celebration from 5-6:30pm. According to Director of Marketing and Foundation Tom Harmsen, attendees will enter the hospital through the north entrance, 610 10th Street in Perry, where they will follow a specific route featuring many stations to collect candy on the first floor. He indicates that special translucent water bottles will be given away to the first 200 adults that show up. Also, HyVee will be handing out apples, plus there will be jack-o-lanterns on display.
“We’ll have pumpkins that our departments have been preparing (and) decorating. They’re on display right now on our Facebook page, they’re pretty elaborate, those will be out for viewing.”
Harmsen adds that close to 800 people were apart of last year’s festivities and encourages both children and adults to wear their favorite costumes as they navigate through the hospital.
