
With Halloween around the corner, there are several occasions planned within Dallas County.
There are lots of communities that are celebrating their respective Beggar’s Nights, with tomorrow evening having the cities of Dexter, Dallas Center and Redfield. Dexter is from 5-8pm, Dallas Center will be from 6-8pm, and Redfield will have a Trunk or Treat at the City Park from 3-5pm. Additional Beggar’s Nights and other festivities are next week. Another Trunk or Treat takes place at the Dallas County Fairgrounds, 28057 Fairground Road, in Adel on Halloween Eve from 5:30-7pm. Then, on Halloween, the City of Adel along with the City of Minburn will be celebrating their Beggar’s Nights from 6-8pm.
As a reminder, there are several activities happening tonight in Perry. The Perry Chamber hosts the Spooktacular Trick or Treat Walk in the downtown area, along 2nd Street involving over 50 local businesses from 4-6pm. Perry Chamber Director Lynsi Pasutti cautions drivers that traffic will be blocked off as guests will be making a loop in front of Hotel Pattee, the Perry Public Library, and Des Moines Area Community College’s VanKirk Academy. The Dallas County Hospital, 610 10th Street, in Perry is hosting its Safe and Healthy Halloween celebration from 5-6:30pm, followed by the City of Perry’s Beggar’s Night from 6-8pm.
