The AC/GC Chargers continued their unbeaten streak for this season, taking the first round of playoffs against the Wayne Falcons.

The Chargers received the ball to start the game, and after an uncharacteristic three and out on the firs drive, they stopped the Falcons and started their second drive, which bled into the second quarter when they scored. AC/GC continued to stop the Falcons, and put up another score before the break, to go into halftime up 14-0. Wayne started the second half with the ball, but after a few plays ended up with a fumble which was recovered by senior linebacker Ben Franzeen.

The Chargers picked up their third score of the game off a big rush from senior fullback Mike Fuller, and got another stop on the Falcons to head into the fourth quarter up 21-0. Another score in the final quarter put AC/GC up 28-0, and the team kept Wayne out of the endzone with a fourth down stop on the Chargers nine yard line, to take the victory formation with less than 20 seconds left and win the game. The Crafty’s Coffee Players of the game went to Ben Franzeen and Xander Harwood on the defensive side, as the two were all over the field, and were involved with nearly every tackle in some way or another. On the offensive side of the ball, the attack by the back field was so evenly spread, that the entire group received the recognition for this game. The Chargers host once more next week, in the second round of action for the playoffs.
