Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Senior Grant Jansen announces that he’ll be staying in the state of Iowa as he chooses the college he’ll attend for baseball.

Jansen is joining the Wartburg Knights, in Waverly, IA to further his baseball career as well as pursue his academic achievements. In his junior year with ADM, Jansen appeared in 29 games with 95 at-bats. He had 26 hits, 19 singles, six doubles, one homerun, 17 Runners Batted In (RBIs), and scored 10 runs. Jansen also contributed on the mound, pitching in 10 games striking out 43 batters with a 2.96 earned run average (ERA) in 47 innings, finishing with a record of 2-4.

The Tigers completed the 2024 season at 16-15 overall (9-7; 3rd inside the Raccoon River Conference), beating Ballard 6-2 in the Class 3A Substate 2 First Round, then fell 6-5 to the eventual state champs North Polk Comets in the second round on July 16th.
