Funeral services for Pastor Charles W. Thompson, 74, of Jefferson, will be held at 2:30pm Monday, November 11, 2024 at First United Methodist Church, Jefferson, Iowa.  Interment will be in the Jefferson Cemetery.  Visitation with the family present to greet friends is from 5:00 – 7:00pm Sunday, November 10, 2024 at Slininger-Schroeder Funeral Home, Jefferson, Iowa.

Pastor Charlie Thompson is survived by 6 children:  son, Charles F. Thompson II; daughter, Kristina (Duane) Mullen; sons, John, Matthew (Leah), Michael, and Philip (Rebecca) Thompson; cherished grandchildren: Henry, Teddy, William, Kezia, Tommy, Toby, J Ryker, Rowan, and Evelyn;  brothers: Joseph (Elaine), Elvin (Patty), and Robert (Susan); and sister, Judith (Steve) Shank; and nieces, and nephews.
