The Class 2A State Boys’ State Cross-Country five kilometers (3.1 miles) race is tomorrow at 2:45 p.m. north of Ft. Dodge at Lakeside Golf Course/Kennedy Park. For the third year in a row, Greene County will be represented by Noah Hinote. This is his second time in the 2A State Meet after the Rams were a 3A program in 2023.

Being a veteran runner, Hinote is aware of the course and competition. Coach Jeff Lamoureux describes his senior this way, “He’s a grinder! He knows what he needs to do and he does it!”

In the 12 years the Rams have been competing as Greene County High School, Noah is the first to qualify for three State Cross-Country Meets.
