The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn football team is traveling to Council Bluffs tonight for a second date with Lewis Central in the Class 4A playoffs.
The Tigers and Titans are preparing to battle it out once more this season as a trip to the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls looms. Lewis Central defeated ADM in week three of the regular season, 30-27 in overtime. In the first game, the score was tied at 17 at halftime, then the score was knotted up at 24 with three minutes left in the game. ADM was on offense and drove down the field to set up a 35-yard field goal, which was missed by senior kicker Ethan Asche and sent the game into overtime. Asche did convert on a 20-yard field in OT to give the Tigers a 27-24 lead, but then it was Titan senior running back Chance Chappell, who scored a seven-yard touchdown to cement the 30-27 victory.
Coming into the game, ADM junior quarterback Hudson Shull has 1,289 passing yards with 12 touchdowns, while rushing for 1,036 yards and 17 TDs. On the other side for Lewis Central, senior QB Brady Hetzel has thrown for 2,142 yards and 23 TDs, and picked up 28 yards on the ground, scoring three TDs throughout the regular and postseason. Kick-off will be at 7pm from Lewis Central High School and Raccoon Valley Radio will carry the broadcast on K107.9 KKRF, starting at 6pm. Tickets for the game can be purchased by clicking here.
