
Two swimmers from Adel-DeSoto-Minburn High School will be competing tomorrow for a chance to qualify for the state meet.
Tigers’ Sophomore Finlee Burns and Junior Emma Popp are joining their teammates from Waukee High School for regionals tomorrow against eight schools. Coming into this meet, Burns has the eighth fastest time in the 50 meter freestyle (25.39), 13th in the 100 meter freestyle (57.35), 10th in the 200 meter freestyle (2:04.90), ninth in the 100 meter breaststroke (1:14.44), and fourth in the 100 meter butterfly (1:02.87).
For Popp, she is 22nd in the 100 meter freestyle (1:00.56), 12th in the 200 meter freestyle (2:06.55), 12th in the 500 meter freestyle (5:45.30), and sixth in the 100 meter backstroke (1:01.68). Waukee will be swimming versus Atlantic, Centerville, Des Moines East, Des Moines North, Lewis Central, Marshalltown, Ottumwa, and Waukee Northwest. The meet will be held at the Waukee Natatorium tomorrow at noon (12pm).
