With the holiday season upon us, there are two retail promotions happening in Jefferson today.
Jefferson Matters Executive Director Matt Wetrich says the Promotions Team has brought back the “Oh! What Fun” as the annual holiday shopping kick-off and invites everyone to shop locally for winter and holiday decor, as well as early Christmas shopping and more.
“So we really encourage you to jump out there and support those local retailers. They are the folks who support a lot of what goes on in town. And this is that season where supporting them helps a whole lot.”
Wetrich points out the first weekend is wrapping up for the Down Home Holiday Market that is taking place in the former Sensibly Chic building on the south side of the downtown square. He states that for the next Thursdays through Saturdays of this month, people can stop in and check out local individuals who have created unique and customized items for the holiday season.
“It’ll be fun to see who shows up. They did something comparable to this last year and it went really, really well. It’s just a neat atmosphere in there. Rosie Tucker, the owner of the building, does a great job of finding these folks, and hosting them, and providing a neat atmosphere for hosting, but also a neat spot to come shop.”
Down Home Holiday Market opens at 10am every Thursday through Saturday in November, except on Thanksgiving when they are closed.
