An organization in the City of Perry is honoring veterans with special gifts tomorrow.

The Perry Iowa Piecemakers Quilts of Valor is presenting individuals that have served or are currently serving in the military with quilts at the Perry Elks Club. Quilts of Valor Foundation Member Nikki Whitney tells Raccoon Valley Radio that the group is handing out 12 quilts to veterans tomorrow afternoon at 3pm with refreshments and photo opportunities available after the awards. She describes that each quilt is written with the phrase “Thank You and Welcome Home.” 

Whitney adds that the Quilts of Valor group will have an information booth about the National Foundation plus nomination forms at the Veterans Day Breakfast at the Perry HyVee Monday morning from 6-10am. Tomorrow’s program at the Perry Elks Club is free and open to the public.
