The Stuart City Council will meet in regular session Tuesday night due to Veterans Day on Monday.

The Council will consider for approval the Street Department compensation time. Then they will consider approving a pay estimate of $426,213.60, a revised third change order with an increase from $37,065 to $41,043.48, and a fourth change order of $16,416.75 for the 2023 Sanitary Sewers project. They will also consider for approval change orders five and six, along with the final partial payment, final acceptance of project, along with the release of retainage after final acceptance for the Safe Routes to School project.

The Council will then hold a public hearing on a development agreement with GTCR Land, LLC, and then consider approving the resolution for the agreement following the hearing. The Council will have another public hearing for a proposed amendment to the Stuart Urban Renewal Plan and then consider approving the resolution for the amendment following the hearing. Additionally, the Council will consider for approval painting bids for the Stuart Depot, the 2024 Tax Increment Financing (TIF) certificate, an employee health insurance rate increase, then hear from Stuart Economic Development Director Matt Funk.

The Council will finish the meeting with a cemetery headstone project proposal from Mayor Dick Cook. The meeting begins at 6pm on Tuesday in the Council Chambers at City Hall. For those unable to attend in person, there is a digital option available via the City’s YouTube page.
