shakespeare-abridged

Later this week will be one of the first performances of the new season for Greene County Community Theater.

Director Josh Tuel says “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare: Abridged,” written by Adam Long, Daniel Singer, and Jess Winfield, which has three cast members that do several Shakespeare plays in 90 minutes. Tuel points out this show is incredibly funny and the three people who are on stage, including Darren Jackson, Wes Anderson and Ash Elloitt are entertaining.

“They complement each other really well. Ash is more your traditional go big actor, very verbally strong, (and) he’s got a big stage presence. Wes is more of your kind of subtle, dry humor, and then Darren is more of your slap-sticky guy. And they combine really well too. It’ll touch everybody’s funny bone, one way or another.”

Tuel cautions audience members that the performance is rated PG-13 for some mature language. The shows are Thursday-Saturday at 7pm at the Greene County High School auditorium. Tickets are $5 for students and $10 for adults and are available at the door for purchase each night.
