Basketball season is on the horizon for the Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs as head coach Joel Rankin and his Mustang boys can officially begin practices on November 18th. The Mustangs had a successful season last year, picking up 20 wins along the way towards the state tournament.

The Mustangs would win their way to the Class 4A regional tournament and would defeat Waukee 66-59 to advance to the state tournament. In the Class 4A state quarterfinal, the Mustang’s season would come to a close after falling to the Cedar Rapids Kennedy Cougars.

With practices commencing on the 18th, the Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs boys basketball team look to return to the state tournament during the 2025 season.
