With girls basketball now officially underway, the Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs now strive return to the State Championship by claiming another regional championship. Last season, the Dallas-Center Grimes Mustangs finished their season at 20-4, after falling to the North Polk Comets 48-42 in the Class 4A State Quarterfinal.
Mainly a senior dominate team last season, Juniors Macey Meyer and Tessa Jones would be the lone underclassmen to represent the Mustangs during the State Tournament last year. With seven starting and rotating seniors missing from last season, Meyer and Jones look to carry the mantel of Mustang girls basketball success to a Regional Championship and the State Tournament.
The Mustangs have their first game of the regular season at home on Friday, November 22nd and is set to begin at 7:30 as the Mustangs host the Ballard Bombers.
