The Perry School Board met in regular session on Monday.

Perry Elementary Principal Laura Skeel said that the school saw 95% attendance, along with the middle school. High School Principal Brad Snowgren detailed that they had a high rating of students that have had 100% attendance so far in the 2024-25 school year. Perry Mental Health Coordinator Jena Blize gave a presentation about the services being provided for students. She mentioned that there is an array of therapists for youth that need weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly assistance. Superintendent Clark Wicks wants to meet with the board to go over the early retirement policies next week.

Items on the agenda that were approved included an agreement between Grand Canyon University and the Perry Community School District for student teachers, a pay increase for Perry’s Academic Cultural Enrichment Services in the amount of $18,200 that will begin on January 6th, 2025, and approving six students for early graduation. The board tabled accepting School Improvement Advisory Committee Members and goals to December because Board President Linda Andorf said a quorum was not created yet.
