With only four seniors on this years Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs girls basketball squad, Neela Williamson, Sydney Miller, Devon Carlile and Avery Short approach the bittersweet moment of their final basketball season opener match up.

Williamson, Miller, Carlile and Short are just four days away from kicking off the 2024-25 girls basketball season as the Mustang girls host the Ballard Bombers on Friday night. With the action set to begin at 7:30, the Mustangs look to repeat history as Dallas Center-Grimes defeated the Bombers during both of their match ups last season.

Friday night’s season opener should be a close battle as the Mustangs would go down to the wire with the Bombers before coming out on top 33-32 in their first match up last season, then 52-40 in their final meeting. A close battle can be expected on Friday night as the Mustangs host the Bombers for the 2024-25 girls basketball season opener.
