Photos belong to the ADM Vocal Music Department

Two students from Adel-DeSoto-Minburn High School will be performing in a special concert on Saturday.

Freshmen Amanda Gustafson and Andrew Nelson were selected to perform in the Iowa High School Music Association’s All-State Music Festival in Ames. According to ADM Vocal Music Teacher Daniel Novotney, following their auditions last month, Gustafson made it through clarinet for All-State Band, while Nelson advanced as a tenor for the All-State Choir ensemble. 

Novotney says he is proud of the effort shown by both students, especially in their freshman year. The concert begins at 7:30pm Saturday evening at the Hilton Coliseum on Iowa State University’s campus in Ames.
