Main Street Guthrie Center is preparing for yet another event as the holiday season continues.

Executive Director Lindsay Gilland says that the group is hosting their annual Santa’s Village. She mentions that it is part of their festivities to help people get into the Christmas mood, as there will be kids crafts and pictures with Santa and Mrs. Clause, and that they will be holding the event in the Guthrie Activity Center from 1-3pm.

Gilland adds that they are also partnering with a few businesses and organizations to expand the festivities for the day. She explains that there will be a soup supper from 4-6pm following Santa’s Village, and that beginning at 6pm there will be a lighted Christmas parade. Then at 7pm, after the parade has made its way to Mitchell Park, there will be a tree lighting ceremony, followed by a Christmas light walk in the park starting at 7:15pm.
