
A Missouri man was recently sentenced to probation in Greene County District Court.
According to court documents, 42-year-old Jesse Edwards of Shell Knob, Missouri pled guilty to a Class D Felony for third degree burglary. He had a five year prison sentence suspended and was placed on probation for three years with the Iowa Department of Correctional Services.
The charge stemmed from an incident on May 30th. A Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to a 911 call to a property in the 500 block of N Avenue. Edwards and another person, 48-year-old Joy Durham of Fort Dodge, were found inside a building that was previously locked and they did not have permission to be inside of.
Durham was sentenced to one year of probation when she pled guilty to a lesser charge of an aggravated misdemeanor for possession of burglar’s tools. Edwards was also ordered to pay over $1,000 in surcharges, fees, court-appointed attorney fees and court costs.
