As the weather becomes colder, an organization in the Perry community outlines the variety of inside activities available.

Perry’s McCreary Community Building is open year round to give residents an area to exercise, as well as offer a safe space for children. Deputy Parks and Recreation Director Becky Halling tells Raccoon Valley Radio that people looking to stay warm can utilize several indoor facilities, including the gym, the pool, the sauna, the hot tub, and weight room. She illustrates that any of those activities are open to the public to use during the winter months.

Halling explains that parents/guardians can drop off their kids in the child watch area to stay occupied while they workout. The McCreary Community Building is open Monday through Friday from 6am to 9pm, Saturdays 6am to 6pm, and Sundays from 1-6pm.
