The Iowa Department of Education has released their performance profiles for school districts and the buildings in them.

Adair – Casey / Guthrie Center Superintendent Josh Rasmussen shares that their buildings have done well this year, with Adair – Casey Elementary and AC/GC Junior High receiving a high performance rating, and Guthrie Center Elementary and AC/GC High School receiving a commendable rating. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio that this is a reflection of not only the hard work the students have put in, but the work of teachers and staff as well.

“Just a big thanks to our teachers, because they’re the ones that do all the work with our kids. They’re the dedicated staff members, and of course the administrators, school boards, all have a piece of that. So just excited to share some positive news with our academic success, and what we’re doing in each of our buildings is working for kids.”

Rasmussen mentions that the performance profiles take things like growth and proficiencies in math, language arts and science, along with chronic absenteeism, attendance, and graduate rates.
